Aires, Rui P. Andrade, Earthly Beasts - Split 2014

Split album of experimental dark ambient by Portuguese projects Aires, Rui P. Andrade and Earthly Beasts. With influences as diverse as drone, dark ambient and noise, these three sound artists share, on this particular release, the same somber moods and mechanical ambiences, sometimes quiet, almost timid, other times aggressive, verging on the industrial. Lasting around 30 minutes, the album, released by portuguese label Enough Records, meditates on the limits of abstract music and explores the contrast between the slow-motion stillness of drones and the more chaotic, abrasive side of noise.
