GLADIATORS EAT FIRE SIGN WITH SEATTLE BASED ALIVE & BREATHING RECORDS

Heavy psychedelic-hardcore rockers Gladiators Eat Fire have inked a deal with local dark horse label Alive & Breathing Records and have released a fresh new single, “Shapeshifter”, for streaming and pay-what-you-want download.

Their first new material written in nearly two years, “Shapeshifter” shows an evolution of the raw, tripped out thrashings of 2012’s Psychedelic Hogwash EP into smokier, headier territory, drawing comparisons to bands such as Refused, Deftones, Jesus Lizard, and These Arms Are Snakes.

Since their formation in 2007, Gladiators Eat Fire have been fortunate enough to share the stage with bands as diverse as ORBS, The Memorials, Just Like Vinyl, Witch Mountain, Ravenna Woods, and Monogamy Party. They have performed their signature blend of massive riffs, stoney psychedelia, and heavy grooves at local events such as the Noise For The Needy benefit festival, the Cannabis Freedom March, and underground punk festival Chaospalooza. They’ve also received airplay on 90.3 FM KEXP and 99.9 FM KISW, appeared live on Hollow Earth Radio, and was chosen as High Times’ Unsigned Band of the Month.
