zilla rocca "devil's pie" official video

The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. Have a slice then...

After ending all of my live sets the past year with this D'Angelo classic (off Voodoo and the Belly Soundtrack) produced by my Wrecking Crew comrade/height challenged brudda Small Professor it was time to get cinematic with it.

So I enlisted El Malito, Philly's best known Platypus and party charade ringmaster, for the celluloid shakedown.

"Devil's Pie" is taken from my EP Nights & Weekends, 2011's dedication to diners, bad women, and cold coffee. CDs are out of stock and out of print FOREVER! But you can go old school with iTunes or fresh faced at Bandcamp to get your fix.

Noted LA Weekly/Pitchfork/SPIN scribe Jeff Weiss described the single as "sophisticated Philadelphia crime rap". The devil don't lie.
